The ritual

Three slow steps

No barista, no rush. Sift, whisk, pour. The same small ceremony, every morning.

Sift
01

Sift

Spoon the powder through a small sieve into the bowl so it whisks clump-free.

Whisk
02

Whisk

Add water just off the boil and whisk briskly in a W until a fine froth lifts.

Pour
03

Pour

Top with water or milk — hot, or over ice. Adjust to taste.

The whole idea

We gave it a name tag.

Most matcha arrives with a manifesto. Ours arrives at a party, sticks a tag on its chest, and says hello. The joke is the brand — and underneath it, quiet silver tins and very green powder.

Our story

How I found it.

I went through a lot of matcha before I found the one. The real find happened in Tokyo — I'd spent a month and a half there with a guide named Sho, so when I started mhmmatcha I asked him to track down the best premium matcha farm in Japan. He came through: small tins, 30 grams each.
